Privacy Policy

Last updated: 01.07.2026. This policy applies to the website fernstudium-klartext.com.

1. Controller

Controller within the meaning of the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP / revDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Ritter Bildungs- und Digitalberatung
Lars Arnold Ritter

2. Principles and scope of processing

I take the protection of your personal data seriously and comply with applicable data protection laws, in particular the revFADP and, where applicable, the GDPR. Fernstudium Klartext is a purely informational website. It deliberately operates with a minimum of data processing: there is no contact form, no newsletter, no registration and no web analytics. Personal data is processed only to the extent necessary for the technical operation of the website.

Data transmission is encrypted via SSL/TLS. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the lock symbol in your browser's address bar.

3. Server log files

This website is operated with the hosting provider Hostinger. When the website is accessed, information is automatically collected and stored in so-called server log files:

  • Anonymised IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • File requested and volume of data transferred
  • Successful retrieval confirmation
  • Browser and operating system used (user agent)
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)

These data are evaluated solely to ensure smooth operation and to defend against attacks, and are not merged with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 31 para. 1 revFADP / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). The data are deleted after no more than 30 days.

4. Cookies

This website uses cookies only to a minimal extent. A single, technically necessary cookie is used: cc_cookie stores your consent to the cookie categories (cookie consent tool vanilla-cookieconsent v3) and is retained for six months. Legal basis: Art. 31 para. 1 revFADP / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

No analytics or marketing cookies are set, and no third-party services for reach measurement or advertising are embedded. If corresponding services are added in future, they will be used exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), and this policy will be updated beforehand.

You can revoke your consent at any time via the link in the footer.

5. Contact by email

If you send me an email to beratung(at)ritterconsult.ch, for example for a data protection request, your data (email address, name, message text) will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 31 para. 1 revFADP / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). These data will be deleted after your enquiry has been processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. External links and linked projects

This website links to external services, in particular to studienfluesterer.com (including the online appointment booking for an initial consultation) and to akademie.studienfluesterer.com. When you click such a link, you leave this website and reach an external site with its own privacy policy. The respective operator is responsible for the data processing there; this policy does not apply to it.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights at any time:

  • Information about the data stored about you (Art. 25 revFADP, Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 32 revFADP, Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data, where no retention obligations apply (Art. 32 revFADP, Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 28 revFADP, Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future

An informal email to beratung(at)ritterconsult.ch is sufficient to exercise these rights.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (EDÖB / FDPIC): edoeb.admin.ch. Persons resident in the EU may also contact the competent national data protection authority.

9. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be adapted in response to technical or legal changes. The version published on this page applies. The date of last update is shown above.
